POLICY OF THE DEPARTMENT <br />It is the policy of the Board of Correction that the Department of Correction ensure the <br />safe operation of all its correctional facilities. This policy includes but is not limited to <br />the introduction of contraband, escapes, and the safety of the department’s employees <br />and inmates. <br />02.00.00. DEFINITIONS <br />Correctional facility: Any building or residence housing state-sentenced inmates as <br />defined or as set forth by law. This shall include all property and lands owned or leased <br />by the Board of Correction bordering a correctional facility. <br />Correctional building: Any building or office space leased, owned or operated by the <br />Department of Correction. <br />05.00.00. PROCEDURE <br />Members of the Board of Correction and the director of correction shall have unlimited <br />access to the department’s facilities and buildings.
