Following the Execution ..............................................................................................31 <br />Definitions ...........................................................................................................................31 <br />References ..........................................................................................................................31 <br />BOARD OF CORRECTION IDAPA RULE NUMBER 135 <br />Executions <br />POLICY CONTROL NUMBER 135 <br />Executions <br />PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this SOP is to establish specific procedures for administration of capital <br />punishment in accordance with the Idaho Code and the constitutions of the United States of <br />America and the State of Idaho. <br />RESPONSIBILITY <br />Director of the IDOC <br />The Director of the IDOC is responsible for: <br />• Exercising overall control and approval of the administrative policy, SOP, field <br />memoranda, and of the execution process itself. <br />• Communicating with Idaho Governor’s office, Idaho Board of Correction, <br />legislators, and Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole. <br />• Determining execution protocol and ensuring that applicable chemicals are <br />obtained and tested at an accredited lab following United States Pharmacopeia
